Reggae is taking over Auditorium Shores this weekend during cannabis connoisseurs' favorite holiday: 4/20.

What is Austin Reggae Festival?

The festival began in 1994 as a tribute to Bob Marley, who died in 1981. It is the longest-running festival at Austin’s city center park, Auditorium Shores. From its inception, the festival has partnered with Central Texas Food Bank to provide meals to hungry families in the Austin area. At the time, two cans of food were accepted as the entrance fee. Now, the Austin Reggae Festival takes place every April and continues to support the local food bank with a portion of ticket sales.
